SCHOOLAGER PROGRAMS
Our Schoolagers Program is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for children aged 6 to 12 years. We understand the importance of balancing academic support with fun, creative, and physical activities that keep your child engaged and excited about learning. Our program offers a variety of activities that promote social development, academic growth, and physical well-being, all tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of school-aged children.
HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE

We understand that parents are busy and need additional support in regards to ensuring that their child has homework support. Our professional staff spends 45 minutes each day helping our kids with their homework.
STEM CURRICULUM AND PROJECTS

Our centers believe in children learning authentically through inquiry and scientific processes. Our children participate in weekly science experiments and monthly STEM projects. Our kiddos engage in building artifacts by hand and practicing wood work with a trained mason.
CURSIVE WRITING

We believe that Cursive Writing is an important skill, and that children should know how to write in cursive. Unfortunately, the art of cursive writing has been phased out of K-12 learning standards. This process has left our children in a position in which they can not sign their name in cursive, and we plan to change that!
MENTORING: SOCIAL EMOTIONAL GROUPS

Let's face it, being a school-ager is hard, and developing coping skills and strategies to matriculate through elementary and middle school can be a challenge. Kids R Kids offers social emotional group think sessions to teach our kiddos about social emotional health, and to provide them with strategies via mentoring techniques to ensure that they grow up to become emotionally and mentally healthy young adults.
TRANSPORTATION

Our learning centers provide daily transportation for families who are in need of the service. There is a $25 weekly fee to cover transportation costs. Our drivers have been appropriately trained by ODJFS, and adhere to safety regulations and protocols to ensure that your child is transported safely.
FIELD TRIPS

We believe that children learn through experience, and we want to provide every child with the opportunity to dream big and be exposed to different adventures outside of their immediate communities. Parents are always welcome to chaperone during field trips! Kids R Kids takes kiddos on an out of state trip once per year!
TECHNOLOGY

Our centers embrace the fact that technology is the key to the future. Our school-agers have access to class sets of tablets, Interactive Smartboards, Karaoke machines, and Interactive Art Pads. Educational filters are used to ensure that educational sites are accessed on the technological devices.
ARTS AND CRAFTS

We have a philosophical belief that through arts and craft, children learn to value and appreciate artifacts and images across cultures and times. Experience in design, art, and crafts enable them to reflect critically on their own work and those by others. They learn to act and think like designers and artists, working intelligently and creatively.
SENSORY PATH

Sensory Paths are more than just an interior design choice. Following these routes helps children fidget less, increases concentration in class, and gives them a much-needed workout. Click Here to watch a video about navigating through the Sensory Path!
BOARD GAMES

Board games offer opportunities for early learning. Even simple games help young players identify colors, count spaces, and develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity in moving cards and pieces around the board. Plus, learning to wait your turn and follow the rules are important lessons that serve kids far beyond the living room floor. Board games also boost communication skills among school-agers as well as help to sharpen your child's focus. Kids are forced to pay attention while learning the value of teamwork.
SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS

Kids R Kind Learning Center & Little Tikes Daycare acknowledges that the benefits are enormous for children of all ages. Participating in the science projects helps develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world.
CLASSROOM LIBRARY

Classroom libraries motivates kids to read for pleasure and recreation. Recreational reading within a classroom library helps young people develop an extensive array of literacy strategies and skills. Our classroom libraries provide access to a wide range of reading materials that reflect abilities and interests.
