Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to school-age children’s developmental needs, fostering growth in social skills, learning, and creativity
Provide attentive supervision and care during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children with diverse needs including those with disabilities or special education requirements
Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques to promote respectful and cooperative behavior
Safely operate company vehicles to transport children between designated locations, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
Assist children during boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring proper use of safety restraints and comfort during transit
Maintain accurate records of transportation schedules, attendance, incident reports, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with licensing standards
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and team members to support each child's individual development plan and address any concerns promptly
Experience
Prior experience working with children in preschool, daycare, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment for diverse learners
Experience with toddlers or infants is a plus; familiarity with childhood development principles is essential
Knowledge of special education practices and working effectively with children with disabilities enhances your suitability for this role
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating passenger vehicles safely is required
Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are strongly preferred; ongoing training in behavior management and caregiving techniques is beneficial
Background in childcare roles such as nannying or babysitting provides valuable skills applicable to this position
