Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bus Driver & Center Cleaner to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting children, while maintaining a clean and welcoming vehicle environment. Duties
Safely operate buses for various purposes, including school routes transportation and field trip outings.
Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety at all times.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to check mechanical functions, brakes, lights, and cleanliness.
Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for children as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior by regularly cleaning seats, floors, windows, and other surfaces.
Communicate effectively with passengers using clear language; address questions or concerns professionally.
Manage behavior on board by applying appropriate behavior management techniques to ensure a safe environment.
Keep accurate records of trips, maintenance issues, and incidents.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to schedule routes efficiently and report any vehicle or safety concerns promptly.
Upkeep on center cleanliness, including main areas such as bathrooms, hallways, etc.
Experience
Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large vehicles.
Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of mechanical systems related to vehicle maintenance is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities such as bilingualism are a plus to serve diverse students.
Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle challenging situations onboard or during pickups/drop-offs.
Prior experience in customer service roles enhances the ability to provide friendly and professional interactions.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols meticulously and maintain vehicle cleanliness consistently.
