School-Age Assistant Teacher

About the Role

Childcare Solutions Consulting Company is seeking an energetic and dependable School-Age Assistant Teacher to support a safe, engaging, and positive environment for school-age children. This role works alongside the Lead School-Age Teacher to provide recreational, enrichment, and learning activities while helping children build independence, friendships, and positive social skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recreational and enrichment activities, including sports, arts, games, and creative projects.

• Provide active supervision during indoor and outdoor activities and help maintain a safe, organized environment.

• Support daily routines and use positive behavior strategies to encourage respect, responsibility, and teamwork.

• Engage with children during activities and provide additional support based on individual needs.

• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, materials, and preparation for daily activities.

• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher and center team to support school-age programming, special events, and seasonal activities.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience working with school-age children preferred.

• Energetic, dependable, patient, and comfortable working with groups of children.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

• Ability to follow classroom plans, routines, and safety procedures.

• Commitment to child safety, required training, and ongoing professional development.
