Lead School-Age/Rec Teacher

About the Role

Childcare Solutions Consulting Company is seeking an energetic and dependable Lead School-Age/Recreation Teacher to create engaging experiences for school-age children. This role combines enrichment, recreation, and supportive care to provide a safe, positive environment where children can build friendships, explore their interests, and have fun while continuing to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging recreational and enrichment activities, including sports, arts, games, and creative projects.

• Provide active supervision during indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

• Use positive behavior-management strategies to encourage respect, responsibility, teamwork, and appropriate social interactions.

• Adapt activities to support children with different interests, abilities, and individual needs.

• Build positive relationships with children and communicate effectively with families and staff.

• Collaborate with the center team to support school-age programming, special activities, and seasonal programs.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with school-age children in childcare, recreation, camp, education, or a similar setting.

• Energetic, creative, dependable, and comfortable leading groups of children.

• Strong classroom/group management and positive behavior-support skills.

• Ability to plan and lead a variety of recreational and enrichment activities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children.

• Commitment to child safety and willingness to complete required childcare, CPR/First Aid, and professional development training.
